As one of the best garage door service teams in the state, we're asked the same questions over and over again quite frequently. We created this FAQ page to try and answer the most common ones.
How long will my garage door springs last?
Torsion springs will usually last for about 10,000 to 20,000 cycles, depending on how often they are maintained. A single cycle consists of one full opening and closing of the door. On the other hand, extension springs will normally last for about half as long. Of course, weather conditions and other factors will influence the life expectancy of your springs, so unexpected breakage can occur. Give our team a call to have these dangerous components replaced safely and quickly.
My door is making awful noises. What's wrong?
Noises from your door are warning signs that it needs some attention. There could be an obstruction inside its tracks, or the rollers or the hinges could use some lubrication. It's always good to have your door inspected by a professional to make sure that it isn't inflicted by a serious problem. Give our team a call if you want some help from our experts.
How long does a garage door opener last?
Most modern models have a lifespan of about ten to twenty years, or more, depending on how well they are maintained. However, when an old opener breaks down, many homeowners choose to simply buy a new unit, rather than get the old one repaired. The cost of repairs can sometimes exceed the cost of a new model. Also, there are more advanced features available today, like Wi-Fi compatibility. If you're interested in getting a new opener, our team will be happy to help.
